Itinerary :


Day 1: Pick up from the airport:

Meet and greet at Marrakech Airport. Drive to your accommodation.

Day 2: Marrakech – The High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate:

After Breakfast we leave Marrakech towards Ouarzazate. On our way we are going to enjoy the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka pass the highest road in Morocco with an altitude of 2260m, which will offer you charming views as far as the eye can see. We will stop in many places along the way to get the chance to take some great pictures, videos and to admire the beauty of the small Berber villages, valleys….  

We will resume our tour until we reach the beautiful Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou: a kasbah that belongs to one of the most important families between the 16the and 17 the centuries in Morocco “the Glaoui’s family”. It is considered a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Also a place that attracted many film makers that it took a part in their movies such as (Prince of Persia – Gladiator – Game of Thrones…) . A lunch is planned for you to enjoy it in this historical area. 

After that, we’ll travel to Ouarzazate, known as “Africa’s Hollywood,” a place that has enticed numerous filmmakers to use it in their films due to its unusual scenery. You will get the opportunity to tour “The Atlas Studio,” which is one of Morocco’s largest film studios. Night in a Riad.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – The Anti Atlas Mountains – Draa Valley – Rissani – Merzouga Desert:

After breakfast in your Ouarzazate accommodation, we’ll depart for a different location, the spectacular Sahara desert of Merzouga. On our way, we’ll stop to admire the majesty of the Anti-Atlas Mountains by taking the road of Tizi N’Tnifift, at an elevation of 1660 meters, which offers breathtaking views as far as the eye can see. 

After that, we will head to the Draa Valley, the former route of caravans for Sahara traders coming from “Timbuktu”. In the Draa Valley, you will have the opportunity to see the biggest and longest palm grove in the country in a mood of ancient caravans with spectacular views. Then we will continue to Nkob and then to Alnif and you will have time for lunch in one of the local restaurants in Nkob or Alnif.

After restoring, we will resume to Rissani itself is very interesting town, between the 14the and 18the centuries. It was the location of the famed desert capital, “Sijilmassa”, where fortunes in gold and slaves were traded via caravans crossing the Sahel. In this old and historical area you will visit the largest local and traditionalist market (souk) in Southern Morocco. 

Then continuing to Merzouga Desert where you will ride the ATVs into a magical world through the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi, with a panoramic view of the unique sunset of the Sahara. Finally, you will get to our camp in a relaxing mood, you will have a delicious and authentic Berber (Amazigh) dinner in the heart of the desert and a night gathering around the fire with Berber music under an endless starry sky.

Day 4: Explore Merzouga Desert area:

It is recommended to wake up in early morning to enjoy the Desert sunrise. After breakfast we will leave the camp by jeep to explore the surrounding areas of the marvel Erg Chebbi. We will drive off road to visit the nomadic families who are living around the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. It will be a chance to see their lifestyle and how they could survive in the Sahara desert by having a cup of tea with them.

Then, from there to Mifis mines, which are located on a high plateau that has a wonderful panoramic view of Erg Chebbi and the desert landscape. Afterward, we will head to Khamlia village ( Gnaoua village). the people of this small village originated in Black Africa, having a close and long standing relationship with the Sahara. Their ancestors were brought from central and west Africa, through the Sahara Desert in caravans that arrived in the southeastern part of Morocco. We will get to know more about them and enjoy their traditional music.

After enjoying the traditional gnaoua music, we will have a delicious lunch, which is berber pizza. After that, you will ride your camels back to the camp through the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi, night with an authentic dinner.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erfoud – The Irrigation Systems – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:

After breakfast we will start our day to Dades Valley. Our first stop will be Erfoud: It is one of the oldest known sites, where you can find precious and unique fossils.Then to The Irrigation System: which began in ancient times, diverse societies on both sides of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco built thousands of wells and tunnel systems similar to Qantas in Iran or foggaras in Algeria. These systems are called khettaras in Morocco.

Afterward, we will continue our way to Tinjdad where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will continue towards our unique place which is the Todra Gorges. It’s the highest and narrowest spectacular gorges in Morocco; 300 meters high. And at their most narrow, are merely 20 meters apart. It is also recognised around the world as one of the most spectacular canyons. After a short walk around the immense cliffs and enjoying the amazing landscapes. We will drive to the Dades Valley, where you will enjoy the night with an authentic dinner in a hotel.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Roses Town – Skoura Oases – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:

After breakfast in your accommodation in Dades Valley, we’ll head back to the Red City (Marrakech). Our first destination will be Rose valley. It’s well worth taking the time to stop and smell the roses in a Traditional women roses co-operative. (Friendly Reminder: The best season for rose viewing is in late May). Then to Skoura Oasis, known as the road of one thousand kasbahs. There you will have the chance to visit an old kasbah which is Amridil Kasbah. It’s Morocco’s most coveted kasbah in this 17th century wonder.

After having a great time in the Kasbah, we will continue on to Ouarzazate. Then, through the high Atlas mountains, and you will have time for lunch in one of the local restaurants there. Afterward, we will continue our way to Marrakech.

Day 7: Marrakech Sightseeing:
 

After your breakfast in your accommodation we will start our city tour of Marrakech, it’s possibly the most important of Morocco’s four former imperial cities. Today it is one of the busiest cities in Africa and serves as a major economic centre and tourist destination. There is so much to see and do in this city and we will show you the best parts. (Bahia Palace – The Jewish quarter or mellah – Majorelle Gardens – Yves Saint Laurent Mansion – Koutoubia – Jamaa El Fna Square – Medina – Souk…). 

Day 8: Transfer to the airport:
