Your two-day journey from Marrakech to Zagora will begin at 8:00 a.m. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and take you to Zagora. We’ll stop along the trip to admire the grandeur of the high Atlas mountains. Via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass road. With an elevation of 2260 meters, this is Morocco’s highest road. Providing you with lovely vistas as far as the eye can see. We’ll stop by so you can snap some fantastic photos and observe the beauty of the little Berber towns, valleys, and oasis….
After that, we’ll continue on our journey till we reach the stunning Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A kasbah belonging to one of the most powerful families. In Morocco between the 16th and 17th centuries, “the Glaoui’s family.” It is also regarded as a fine example of Moroccan earthen clay construction. And it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, as well as a location that drew the attention of numerous filmmakers, who used it in their films. For example (“Prince of Persia ” “Gladiator”…).
Lunch will be served in this old kasbah. Then we’ll travel to Draa Valley, passing the second pass, Tizi N’Tnifift, at an elevation of 1660 meters. And the former route of caravans for Sahara traders arriving from “Tombouctou.” Draa Valley is home to the country’s largest palm grove. In the spirit of historic caravans, with breathtaking vistas.
Finally, we arrived at Zagora. A location intimately tied to the Sahara Desert, where you will ride your camels into a magical world. Through the Sahara’s dark desert and sand dunes, with a panoramic picture of the Sahara’s distinctive sunset. To finally arrive to our camp in a relaxed state. In the heart of the desert, you’ll have a delectable and genuine Moroccan dinner. And there’s nothing like a night spent listening to live music while gazing up at the limitless stars.
It is suggested that you get up early in the morning. Don’t miss out on one of the most magnificent sunrises you’ll ever see. After breakfast, we’ll return to Marrakech via the Draa Valley, passing stunning landscapes and small berber communities.
After that, we’ll travel to Ouarzazate, nicknamed “Africa’s Hollywood” for its unusual scenery, which has enticed numerous film producers to include it in their productions. There, you will have the opportunity to tour “The Atlas Studio,” one of Morocco’s largest film studios. Lunch will be prepared for you to enjoy in this lovely city.
After a peaceful stay and a delicious lunch. We’ll continue our journey across the Atlas Mountains to “Marrakech.” Where you will be dropped off to your lodging. Sadly, our fantastic adventure has come to an end.
