Tour Plan
Meet and greet at agadir airport. we will drive to the Kasbah of Agadir Oufla; This citadel, situated on the hill overlooking the bay of Agadir, was built in 1540. The walls were restored after the earthquake of 1960. It is the ideal place to watch the sunset over the sea. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking and spectacular harbor views. After that to the Port where you can have a walk through the bustling harbor where local fishermen sell their catch. two fishing ports, a large commercial port and the recent marina. A lunch is planed to enjoy it there.
Then a gentle drive through the souss plain with a quick stop on the way to spot the flying goats on argan trees, will bring us to the ancient walled city of Taroudant, which was a capital during the Saadi dynasty, for now it’s a very friendly berber village overlooked by the high atlas mountains. Night in a Riad/Hotel.
After breakfast, we’ll start our day into a new destination: the magnificent sahara of Erg Chigaga. On our way, we are going to enjoy the beauty of the south, passing through Tamegroute to spend time with Berber potters and learn the art of decorating ceramics using henna…. Also visit the ancient Koranic library. Then we will continue to the town of M’Hamid El Ghizlane, where we will have lunch.
After that, we will drive off-road to reach Erg Chigaga. Where you will ride the camels into a magic world through the sandy dunes of Erg Chigaga, under a panoramic view of the unique sunset of the Sahara. Finally, you will get to our camp in a relaxing mood. You will have a delicious and authentic Berber (Amazigh) dinner in the heart of the desert and a night gathering around the fire with Berber music under an endless starry sky.
It is recommended to wake up early in the morning so you will not miss one of the most beautiful sunrise in your life. After breakfast in the camp, we will head back to Agadir via Foum Zguid by the old track of Paris-Dakar rally route. And to the village of Tazenakht, where we will stop for lunch. Then the road continues to Taroudant and to Agadir. Here unfortunately, our wonderful experience will end.
